Isaac Fitzgerald Biography
Isaac Fitzgerald was a part-time firefighter and well-known author. He wrote many books and articles about his experiences as a firefighter. Some people called him “The Irishman’s Firefighter” because of his dedication to work. In 1983, he received the Medal of Freedom from President Carter for his service in combating hunger. Nowadays, he is an author and a professor at Columbia University and he frequently appears on The Today Show.
