Steve Forrest was an American actor who was best known for his roles in the television series S.W.A.T. and The Baron. He was born on September 29, 1925 in Huntsville, Texas, USA. He was the son of Annis (née Speed) and Charles Forrest Andrews. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he studied drama and was a member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. After college, he served in the United States Navy during World War II. Forrest began his acting career in the 1950s, appearing in films such as The Ten Commandments, The Big Country, and The Longest Day. He also appeared in numerous television series, including The Virginian, The Fugitive, The Invaders, and The High Chaparral. In 1975, Forrest was cast as Sgt. Dan "Hondo" Harrelson in the television series S.W.A.T., which ran for two seasons. He also starred in the British television series The Baron, which ran from 1966 to 1967. Forrest was married to Christine Carilas from 1951 until her death in 2003. They had three children together. Steve Forrest had an estimated net worth of $3 million at the time of his death in 2013.
